Apocrypha Adventure Card Game

The Apocrypha Adventure Card Game allows you to play it as a cooperative card game, or with a game master as a role playing game. The world is on the brink of an apocalypse, set in motion by monsters only your characters can see. Gameplay is story-based, and features deck construction and character growth. 

Roles: Game Designer, Developer, and Editor

  • Designs the daily powers for the Apocrypha ℵ1 Companion App (iOS and Android).
  • Designed missions for two of nine unique chapters, successfully getting the third box to its design deadline.
  • Designed, developed, and edited powers for 1,200 cards of existing content that was thematic to the universe.
  • Wrote and edited the 40-page rulebook and three 20-page storybooks.
  • Built usable prototype cards in InDesign and developed the game with the cards on a bi-weekly update cycle.

Betrayal at House on the Hill: Widow’s Walk

The house on the hill has a wicked reputation. Those who dare to darken its door often leave steeped in madness and despair — if they leave at all.

Roles: Game Design Intern, Developer, and Editor

  • Reviewed content and templating for the rulebook and tomes.
  • Wrote and converted submitted stories to gameplay.
  • Prototyped and conducted playtesting, then implemented solutions into design.

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game

Mummy’s Mask & more

In PACG, players take on the role of a hero fighting enemies and solving adventures. The heroes are represented by individual decks, that grow, change, and add cards over time to handle new and more difficult threats.

Roles: Game Developer and Editor

  • Designed content for boons and banes for the sets.
  • Conducted playtests to further develop rules and concepts with PACG veteran and novice players.

The Ninth World: A Skillbuilding Game for Numenera

The Ninth World is set a billion years in the future in the Numenera universe, where heroes explore the nine kingdoms of The Steadfast, each a very different place to adventure. They discover strange relics of the past, trying to discern which are powerful cyphers and which are just weird oddities. And they fight creatures of all shapes, sizes, and limb arrangements.

  • Developed and edited powers for all the cards and rulebook.
  • Edited content and templating throughout the game’s development.

Thornwatch

Thornwatch is a graphic novel adventure game for 2-5 players and a Judge. Players are manifestations of the Thornwatch: scarred veterans of the Eyrewood who now live as spirits summoned by the ancient ritual of tying a knot of thorns around a birch tree.

  • Developed and edited powers for 200 cards and content for 1 game master, 5 heroes, and 18 denizens and monsters.
  • Wrote, edited, and laid out the 20-page rulebook.
  • Edited content and templating throughout the game’s development.
